The client was a senior citizen who enjoyed intensive gardening and wanted a deck off the upper level living area with lots of planters.
Clearance restrictions to the back of the property line dictated a shallow deck, but to increase planter area the deck was extended along the house.
Planters were located high enough to be worked in comfortably.
The planters were lined with waterproofing material, with bottom drainage pipes.
