The client wanted to make the back yard into a usable entertaining space, and provide a connection between the upper level kitchen and the lower level family room.
The solution was to build a deck on the upper level off the kitchen, and a set of broad steps connecting the deck to a large stamped concrete patio below.
The deck, stairs and patio surround a planting area that suggests a close with the garden.
