A large master suite was built by removing a wall between the existing master bedroom and an adjacent small bedroom, and by removing walls and closets in the existing bathroom area.
Bathroom cabinets, closet shelves and built-in dressers were designed and built by Robl Design Build, Inc. The new bathroom has a soaking tub, large shower, toilet and his- and hers vanity cabinets.
A major feature of the bedroom area was removal of the ceiling drywall to expose the roof trusses. The trusses were finished and a new wood ceiling was installed 12” below the existing roof surface. This gives the effect of greatly increased room height without requiring reframing of the roof. Additional support of the adjacent exterior wall gives added structural stability.
